This study accompanies the slow funk blues track below, designed for easy improvisation and fun. The fundamentals included cover the basics of rhythm, rhythmic examples, the basic scale shapes with related exercises, and bending string exercises.

The video also has live examples of how to use these fundamentals in real time. None of the actual melodic content is written into the lesson. If you master the fundamental exercises, you will be able to explore melodic examples of your own. Be sure to reference the live examples in the video for inspiration.
